Top Racing Level: Stakes Winner; Graded placed
Our most accomplished horse to date, Whereshetoldmetogo (named for an Eric Church song), has been delayed in progressing since his three year old season due to nagging foot issues. That is hopefully behind him how as he embarks on his five year old campaign.
Most famously he finished second in the Grade 3 Gallant Bob Stakes at Parx in the infamous “biting” race. Previous to that he won at Laurel Park in the Concern and Star De Naskra Stakes. Both videos available on our video board.
In early September 2018 we sold a majority interest in him to a group led by Madaket Stables and he moved to the barn of trainer Brad Cox.
A Maryland bred colt by Mid-Atlantic sire El Padrino, Whereshetoldmetogo was purchased for $7,000 from the Fasig-Tipton Mid-Atlantic yearling sale by Black Cloud Stable in 2015. He broke his maiden at first asking at Delaware Park and followed that up with a win in the First Dash Stakes on Owners Day at Delaware. Whereshetoldmetogo shipped south for the 2017-18 winter time and finished a strong 2nd in the Smooth Air Stakes at Gulfstream Park and won the American Fabius Starter Stakes on February 17th.
We took a run at Kentucky Derby points which came up short, but he then won three races in a row, including two stakes, and finished 2nd in the aforementioned Gallant Bob, showing he has settled in as a very strong sprinter.
