June 2018

Black Cloud Stable News

The stable is rounding into form as we approach a big summer and fall.  Threeohtwocassie and Maggie I’ll Find U return from six month layoffs, the two year olds are starting to hit the track, and Whereshetoldmetogo remains the mainstay of the stable.

Threeohtwocassie and Maggie I’ll Find U have run five times between them since returning.  Threeohtwocassie won an allowance race on June 14th (watch on our Video Board) and Maggie had a second place finish at Delaware Park at the end of May.

The Big Guy

We took a big swing with Whereshetoldmetogo over the winter (see March newsletter) and while it came up short he still looks good.  On June 9th he won an allowance race at Delaware Park by 10.5 lengths and posted a 102 Beyer speed figure in the process, which is a top ten Beyer among all three year olds this year (yes, including the likes of Justify).   He is pointing towards a Stakes race in July.

The Two Year Olds

Beacos Disco Pants and Pressdamusicbutton debuted in June in primarily fitness races to build up for the summer run.  Crypto Currency and Vampa are nearing readiness to begin their campaigns.  The filly, Summer Vow, is also in training.  We watched another Broken Vow sired filly – Chocolate Martini – run in the Kentucky Oaks this past May, which raised expectations for our own.  Partnership interests in all of these two year olds have fully subscribed and are unfortunately closed to new investors.

Horse Racing Partnerships

However, there still is opportunity to invest with Black Cloud Stable.  We are aligning resources for the Keeneland and/or Fasig-Tipton yearling sales this fall.  Check out our Investment Details to understand our offerings and then please visit our Contact Us page to reach a Black Cloud representative and begin your racehorse ownership.
